Empowering Businesses, Enriching Communities Since the 1980s

Founded in the 1980s as the Acton Business Association, the Chamber now serves the communities of Acton, Boxborough, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Littleton, Maynard, Stow, and Westford. We are committed to supporting the voices of local businesses and initiatives that will improve and strengthen our region's overall economic development.

Our Why

Chambers of Commerce, a vital force across the United States and beyond, are established to bolster the business community and, in turn, the public in their localities. Some chambers achieve this through robust advocacy and dedicated staff who liaise with government officials on behalf of their members; others focus on tourism, enhancing the overall travel experience to their area. Many chambers embody a blend of these approaches, all with the singular goal of supporting their business community.

As business owners and community leaders, our board, staff, and members have all committed to our chamber community because we realize the value of what we bring to the table as members and how that helps enhance the experience for everyone. Members have made lifetime friendships and experienced business growth and support when they needed our community to get them through a transition. Many of us also volunteer in other organizations, attend outside organization networking events, and regularly refer clients to each other through the ongoing relationships they have built over the years.

What Sets Our Chamber Apart

Sitting with our members and listening to what they need in their business is incredibly important. We want to be more than just an event to attend; we want to be regarded as a trusted ally. We want to find innovative solutions that benefit many of our members, whether that is a new program to bring awareness to a particular industry, bringing in a speaker/educator to address a specific training need our members have, or having our Senate and State Representatives speak on important issues that matter to our region. We are more than just someone to call if you need to learn how to get to Salem, MA, from Acton, MA, on the Commuter Rail. Yet, we are all of those things and incredibly proud of our members and their daily achievements.

We'd love to cheer you on and find ways to help you! If you aren't a member, you should be! Click here to join us and start your MWCOC journey.
